Accipiter

Accipiter is the group of birds of prey in the family Accipitridae; many of them are named as goshawks and sparrow hawks.

Our story begins with a simple designation – Day 87.

The Characters

The cast is small, and easy to follow. There’s Caitlyn Ryan and an unnamed Cardassian. And no one else.

Talking Points

Caitlyn is almost used to what’s happening to her. Without giving away too many spoilers, the main genre is horror. Something awful is happening to her.  We don’t get to see the beginning. And what we are seeing later in the story may or may not be the end.

What was the climax of the story? Did it devolve to a satisfactory conclusion?

What happens right after the curtain comes down on the story? Where would you take these characters – and this ship – next?

Accipiter Series

There are three stories in the Accipiter series. Does that direction makes sense for these characters? Miranda Fave reports that he’s got an outline and a plan for the series, but other works have taken precedence in the meantime. 

Maybe he can be persuaded to get back to it.
